FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5th!
Did you know that there were around 2,500 homeless people in Sioux City last year -- about 250 or 300 on the streets on any given day? Another little-known fact is that slightly over 25% of Siouxland's homeless are veterans, ranging from those who served in Vietnam to the Iraq/Afghanistan war. There are entire families living on the streets. Children. It's not a good situation.
So, off to the park went the volunteers last November 6th. They took pledges, packed up their tents (and cardboard boxes in a few cases) and off to the park they went. It was such a success that they're going to do it again in 2010! We're gonna have an auction, a box contest, maybe even a live band if the weather holds!
Please help us make 2010 as successful as 2009!

If you would like to pledge a bit of money, simply click on "Donate" up there to the left for details. You can also donate to a team if you'd like, just find the team name listed on the menu at the top (we've got teams competing to see which team can raise the most money). You can even start taking pledges yourself! Just click on "Participate."
